This is Fox News front page after the announcement that Obama supported gay marriage. REALLY?!
I’m posting this screenshot instead of linking to the page because fuck Fox News for completely manipulating what was said into their own agenda. They don’t need the traffic from your (potential) visit.
Allow me to start off by saying I’m a liberal. I support Obama and Biden and plan on voting for them into the second term.
My problem is that both Obama and Biden have shown support of gay marriage, for the first time in their presidency. If it wasn’t an election year, I wouldn’t be so dubious but I feel the timing is all wrong. If there is one problem I’ve had with Obama, it has been is charisma and willingness to jump behind a camera. It’s different from past presidencies, and I’m not sure how I feel about it. And this effort just seems like pandering to the media in wake of the North Carolina ruling in an effort to get more votes.
Not saying that this isn’t a reason to vote for him. Quite the contrary. But if he flips on this topic after the election and doesn’t help with the legalization efforts across the board, I will have lost a tremendous amount of faith in the man.
